Having a real hard time with this tonight. When I install spp, there is no option for FMS, only generic with vjoy, which I can not get working with my DX7 (windows vista). Thermometer works fine, oscilloscope is all over the place, and turning down my mic volume did not help. I am using a stereo cord with mono adapters on each end.

Is this option gone, or is there something I am missing?

Update.

I found a post in the forum that suggests setting spektrum DX7 to PPM generic, and this worked.

Hi Colin,

You need to install FMS first.

Here's why: SPP for FMS makes changes in the FMS folder. No FMS --> cannot change.
Yes, DX7 like most 2.4M transmitters uses gneric PPM. These complex PCM schemes are not needed anymore now that the transmittion itself is coded.

I'm having the same problem as Colin. I installed FMS on Windows 7 to my Program Files folder before installing SPP. When I went to install SPP there is no radio button for SmartPropoPlus for FMS. There is only Generic SmartPropoPlus with vJoy. I installed that and it was able to recognize my Wakera 2602 with both the RC audio and Winscope.

I need to know which version of installer you used (or where you downloaded from) and if this was Windows 64-bit. Then, I need to see the log files. They are located in the %TEMP% folder.

Now, until we solve this problem, you can use FMS with generic SPP. The 'SPP for FMS' makes life a little easier because FMS launches and closes SPP for you. Thant's it.

I thought that it did more than just open SPP when you had the FMS version installed. I don't mind opening that before I start FMS, but if you would like to figure out whats wrong I don't mind supplying you with the log file but I don't know what it's called. You said it was in the TEMP folder but I don't see any files with the right time stamp. It would be easier if I knew the name of the file and I could just search for that.

I downloaded it from this site so I would imagine I'm using the most up to date version of SPP. I'm running 64 bit windows 7.
